Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of SR-52 UTILITY RELOCATION will be received by The City of Hartford, until 11:00 a.m., local time, Thursday, August 13, 2026, then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
Principal items of work includes approximately 13,000 l.f. of 3”,6”, & 8” potable water main relocation and associated appurtenances along SR-52 from 1st Avenue to the Slocomb interconnection at Lewis Road.
All work shall be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days.

Copies of the Bidding Documents are available in accordance with the INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS and may be obtained at the office of the ENGINEER, Driskell Engineering, Inc., 5210 Judge Logue Road, Newton, Alabama 36352 (334) 692-4330, upon prior payment of a non-refundable copy fee in the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each set of documents. No partial or “split sets” will be issued. All checks for copies of the Bidding Documents shall be made payable to Driskell Engineering, Inc.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
Each BIDDER must deposit with his BID, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. A performance BOND and a payment BOND each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the CONTRACTPRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required from the CONTRACTOR for the faithful performance and payment of all obligations under the Contract Documents.
Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, and must submit with his bid satisfactory evidence of such license. Bidders will not be required to prequalify.
All bidders must comply with the requirements of the Contractor’s Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work for which a proposal is submitted. The submission of the Bidder’s current State of Alabama license number will be required before his/her bid will be received or considered.
NO BIDDER may withdraw his BID within 60 days after actual date of opening thereof.
